Real Whole Food Supplements
Your body needs whole food fuel that is
dense in proteins, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, fatty acids, phytonutrients and living enzymes.
The body needs all of those
nutrients and it needs them every single day in their natural
whole food form to function properly.
Manufactured nutritional supplements in the form of
pills, capsules, and liquid potions have become the accepted
norm for nutrition in our society. We've been conditioned to
believe that a few synthetic pills a day offer the same benefit of a
healthy diet but common sense and the latest research tell us
something different.

"The thousands of vitamins, minerals and
phytochemicals [beneficial plant compounds] in whole foods act
synergistically together to create a more powerful effect than
the sum of their parts, producing a result which cannot be
recreated by nutritional supplements," says Jeff Prince, vice president for
education at the American Institute for Cancer Research.
That is not to say that manufactured nutritional supplements are of
no use. They can be of great benefit, when taken based on
individualized needs. Most nutrition experts recommend a daily
multivitamin and mineral tablet for everyone. But nutritional supplements
simply can't compete with better live whole food choices that
provide nutrition synergistically.
Highly absorbable vitamins, minerals,
enzymes, proteins, essential fatty acids, friendly bacteria,
phytonutrients and more can only be found in whole foods. Whole
foods contain highly complex structures that combine a variety
of enzymes, coenzymes, antioxidants, trace elements, activators
and many other unknown or undiscovered factors all working
together synergistically, to enable this vitamin complex to do
its job in your body. Nutrients from within this whole food
complex cannot be taken apart or isolated from the whole and be
expected to do the same job in the body as the whole complex is
capable of doing.
